Origin story

Ivana Keser is engaged in multimedia art, essayism, performance, photography, film, artistic research. She took her MFA in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, class of Đuro Seder (1992). She received PhD in film studies (2009), at the Postgraduate study of literature, performing arts, film and culture at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Since 2010 she has been on the faculty of the Academy, in the New Media department. She also teaches at the Music Academy in Zagreb, she lectured at the Postgraduate studies at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and University North (Koprivnica).

ACHIEVEMENT

Her work was included in the University visual art textbook Preble’s Artforms: An Introduction to the Visual Arts (New Jersey, 2009).

Ivana Keser (Battista) PhD

Ivana Keser’s  research and practice focus on Film Theory, Film History, Visual Arts, Essayism, Artist’s Books, Photography, and Artistic Research. She earned a PhD in Film Studies in 2009 through the postgraduate program in Literature, Performing Arts, Film, and Culture at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
In 2012, she undertook postdoctoral research within the Associate Professor Program supported by the University of Zagreb Development Fund. Her interdisciplinary artistic research in visual and audiovisual media encompasses digital film, conceptual development, and the exploration of film as an interdisciplinary field through visual, multimedia, and conceptual approaches to moving-image media. Her work also investigates methodologies and practices of artistic research.
