It is believed that muses inspire artists. These photographs were created in the intimate, modernist, and minimalist spaces of the Academy of Music in Zagreb (MUZA). They are rooted in the tradition of pure photography, a concept championed by Edward Steichen and later further developed by Edward Weston. The interiors of this contemporary building appear, at first sight, almost devoid of visual distractions, offering little for the gaze to settle on—except, occasionally, the subtle interplay of light and shadow.
